CHRISTIAN DIOR 2001 Fringed Silk Corset (XS)

COMPOSITION: The composition label is missing but it’s 100% silk.

 

MADE IN: France.

 

FEATURES:

  • Silk fringe trim
  • Multicolor silk organza stomacher with velvet bands
  • Lace-up fastening with metal eyelets
  • Silk lining

CONDITION: The corset has been restored by a professional. The organza fabric on the front had several tears so this part had to be unstitched to be able to distribute the fabric evenly. There are only two small tears left (picture 13 and 14). The silk fabric was damaged on both sides of the armpits but those parts have been secured with stitches (picture 16 and 17). An adhesive price label was put on the inside of the corset by the previous shop and left a permanent square mark (picture 18). Please note that this flaw is not visible from the outside. The corset has other signs of wear, all visible in pictures. This is a one-of-kind collector piece, please appreciate this item for its character and rarity.
